I am a senior at The University of Akron with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Economics. I will graduate May 2012.
I have written for U. Akron’s newspaper, The Buchtelite (http://www.buchtelite.com/) several times for the opinion section. My political views are different from the publisher’s, who is also my dad. I value the arts with the utmost respect, and believe in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s famous motto, “Ars Gratia Artis” – Art for art’s sake – not money, nor fame. Dance and theater are my favorites of the arts, but music, painting, sculpting, etc. hold a special place with me as well.
Language is also an art, as are other things, and it deserves the same respect as other arts. Another one of my biggest passions is space, space exploration, planets, and everything involved with it. It is fitting then, that my first article on the Lee’s Summit Conservative is about space.
