If this wasn’t real life, I’d say this was the funniest thing I’ve read all year.
Alan Grayson, Democrat Representative from Florida makes the following statement on the floor of the House of Representatives “…The Republican Health Care Plan: Die Quickly.”

The Congress of the United States of America is a place where “REASONED” debate is to take place. It is a place where the power of the arguments wins the day, rather than the vehemence and slanderous attack noise level. We the bloggers are the ones that are supposed to be “nutty”. We are the ones that interject emotion time and again into our reasoned arguments. But this is not a blogger. This is not some bar room fight. This is not about whether to paint the house blue or green or white. This is about the role of government in the health care.

I say we forget the Joe Wilson “You lie!” comment. I say we forget all the petty grandstanding done and we focus on things of substance:
1) Is this the right plan? If it is, then let it move forward, give us time and we’ll read it and then we’ll vote on it.
2) Is this the right role for the Federal Government?
3) Is this plan attacking the root cause of the problem, or simply a waste of more money that will improperly hurt the people of the United States?
4) Have we, The People, had the chance to read the document, understand it and let our voices be heard by our Representatives in Washington?
If you find yourself answering NO to all these questions, then why are we letting Congress railroad this? Take the time, and call your Congressman, e-mail your congressman and get them to listen to you; and speak with reason and not with emotion.
It is time to ACT, not watch.
