I’ll let you read and I’ll pick up my comments at the bottom:

AN OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA
Dear President Obama:
You are the thirteenth President under whom I have lived and unlike any of the others, you truly scare me.
You scare me because after months of exposure, I know nothing about you.
You scare me because I do not know how you paid for your expensive Ivy League education and your upscale lifestyle and housing with no visible signs of support.
You scare me because you did not spend the formative years of youth growing up in America and culturally you are not an American.
You scare me because you have never run a company or met a payroll.
You scare me because you have never had military experience, thus don’t understand it at its core..
You scare me because you lack humility and ‘class’, always blaming others.
You scare me because for over half your life you have aligned yourself with radical extremists who hate America and you refuse to publicly denounce these radicals who wish to see America fail.
You scare me because you are a cheerleader for the ‘blame America’ crowd and deliver this message abroad.
You scare me because you want to change America to a European style country where the government sector dominates instead of the private sector.
You scare me because you want to replace our health care system with a government controlled one.
You scare me because you prefer ‘wind mills’ to responsibly capitalizing on our own vast oil, coal and shale reserves.
You scare me because you want to kill the American capitalist goose that lays the golden egg which provides the highest standard of living in the world.
You scare me because you have begun to use ‘extortion’ tactics against certain banks and corporations.
You scare me because your own political party shrinks from challenging you on your wild and irresponsible spending proposals.
You scare me because you will not openly listen to or even consider opposing points of view from intelligent people.
You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both omnipotent and omniscient.
You scare me because the media gives you a free pass on everything you do.
You scare me because you demonize and want to silence the Limbaughs, Hannitys, O’Relllys and Becks who offer opposing, conservative points of view.
You scare me because you prefer controlling over governing.
Finally, you scare me because if you serve a second term I will probably not feel safe in writing a similar letter in 8 years.

—————————-
Thank you Lou Pritchett for putting down on paper something that each of us can be measured against. There is rhetoric and then there is logical beliefs properly and respectfully stated. The conservatives in this country (be it Republican, Democrat, Libertarian or Independent) tend to want to see that which we can measure including the logic of a persons writing.
I must say that some of the things that scare you are not the ones that scare me the most, but in general the tone of your letter is respectful and right on point. Looking at everything that was stated in the campaign and what has happened since January in this country you are right on target.
I’d add one statement to your letter, even though I believe it is covered:
You scare me because you know that by pushing hard and moving fast, bad legislation can be passed and then those who voted for it are required to defend it or lose the next election.
How do I support that statement?
I do so by pointing to the TARP bill rammed through congress in 2008 by George W Bush. Bad legislation, Poorly conceived, Horribly Executed and Terribly Expensive, with nothing to show for it, but the Government ownership of banks. What Toxic Assets were removed?
I further do so by pointing to the Obama legislation for the banking system acquisition that still let the executives get bonuses, when the House and the Senate had the ability to stop that, and then tried to do so after the fact (that as was found out was completely unconstitutional).
I further point out that the Health Care debate is being rammed through congress with the explicit purpose that if we don’t do it now it is going to be more difficult in the future. Well, that is precisely why it scares me. You know that it is bad legislation, and that it will be poorly implemented, and that it will in essence ration health care by pushing all the insurance companies out of business and leaving only the government in charge of health care.
I believe you understand that when you rush large legislation through people tend not to read it, not to ask questions, and you know that it is 180 degrees from where our founding fathers wanted government to be.
The 13 colonies joined together to end European style government in the new United States of America. It has fueled growth for more than 230 years. It has provided technological advancements the likes of which the world has never seen before. It has empowered billions of people throughout the world. It has served the people and the government of the United States of America very well and allowed us to be “the most generous country in the world”. Market driven entrepreneurs who can count on government to have a light touch and to make sure the playing field is leveled for all to compete.
Why Sir, are you apologizing all over the world and why are you trying to push so much legislation so quickly and so poorly to take hold of a country that needs its freedom to provide for the world?
These questions and these fears I respectfully submit for consideration.

This is a extremely terrific write-up. Seems like you have been writing for a while, if not, keep it up because this is high-quality stuff.
