JEFFERSON CITY, March 8, 2012 – State Sen. Will Kraus, in conjunction with other local lawmakers, will be meeting with constituents during upcoming town hall meetings.

“I appreciate every opportunity to meet with the citizens of the district,” Sen. Kraus said. “Now that we have reached the mid-point of the current session, it is important to sit down with members of the community and discuss current events.”

There are two town hall meetings scheduled for next week. On Tuesday, March 13, Sen. Kraus and Rep. Sheila Solon will host a town hall at the Moreland Ridge Middle School Cafeteria, 900 SE Bishop Drive, Blue Springs, Mo. The legislators will be available from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to talk about current legislation and what is still to come this session.

The next evening, Wednesday, March 14, Sen. Kraus and State Reps. Mike Cierpiot, Gary Cross, and Jeff Grisamore will meet with interested citizens to present information regarding legislation in progress in both the House and the Senate and answer any questions. This town hall meeting will be held at the John Knox Village Courtyard Community Center, 510 NW Peace Parkway, Lee’s Summit, Mo., from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

“I thoroughly enjoy participating in these town hall meetings,” Sen. Kraus said. “Having conversations with people who aren’t always available to visit the Capitol gives me a chance to hear new points of view to apply to my work of representing the 8th District.”
