JEFFERSON CITY— State Sen. Will Kraus, R-Lee’s Summit, is issuing an invitation to District 8 constituents to attend this year’s District Days at the State Capitol, scheduled for March 21 and March 27.
“These District Days offer a valuable opportunity for citizens to see first-hand the work that goes on in the Capitol,” Sen. Kraus said. “Being able to meet with constituents in the district is always informative, but having the opportunity to bring people to the Capitol is beneficial for everyone.”
The District Days are designed so that attendees can maximize their visit. The planned schedule includes tours of local points of interest, including the Capitol building, the Governor’s Mansion, and theMissouriSupreme Court building. A view of the legislative process in the Senate chamber is slated for the mornings of the District Days. A time for lunch will be set aside, with any number of local options available. Following lunch, the senator will be available to meet personally with attendees. Tours have been arranged for the afternoon of both days.
“I look forward to this opportunity, and to sharing my day with constituents,” Sen. Kraus said. “It is my hope that District 8 citizens take advantage of this chance to visit their State Capitol and get an inside view of their legislators’ work.”
Any citizen in District 8 interested in attending either of the dates for District Days are asked to email Sen. Kraus’ Capitol office at will.kraus@senate.mo.gov by Fri., March 18, in order to RSVP for the event. Please include name, mailing address, and number of persons attending.
